- One tea bag (green tea blend, rooibos, earl grey or English)
- 1 litre of water and 1 lemon
- Ice cubes
- Honey or agave syrup (to taste)
Boil the water in a kettle and pour into a jug with the tea bag in it, then add honey or agave syrup to taste. Then allow the tea to cool to room temperature. Add the lemon slices and refrigerate until completely cold. Finally add a few ice cubes before serving.
It is nice to add fresh ingredients after removing the tea bag, like fresh ginger, mint leaves and orange slices.
To make this drink, put the diced mango with the yoghurt and ice cubes in a blender. Then add the lime juice and possibly a little more honey or agave syrup to sweeten it up a bit. Blend into a smooth juice mixture. Pour the mango lassi into glasses and insert a piece of mint and a straw. Garnish with a few small pieces of mango of your choice.
You can also use frozen mango cubes that you buy ready-made in the shop. If necessary, add a little water to make the mango lassi a bit thinner.
